Following a year ripping up the rule books in her hometown music scene, hotly-tipped Liverpool sensation Aimée Steven is poised to explode onto the UK radar in 2021.

A little over a year after forming her four-piece band and bursting onto the scene with a series of eye-catching live performances, the singer/songwriter has racked up an impressive list of achievements, releasing four tracks in a whirlwind debut year that has seen her win support from national radio and press, secure a raft of summer festival slots, and earn prized media status as “one to watch” in 2020.

Aimée Steven began 2020 sweeping overwhelming support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music, Liverpool FC TV, Radio X’s X-Posure playlist, BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Lancashire and BBC Introducing, for her first single of the year, the aptly titled Hell Is A Teenage Girl. Signed to Jacaranda Records in 2019, Aimée Steven has gained the support of Liverpool’s ThisFeeling and Gigslutz, featuring as their Track of the Day and in their selection of Best New Bands earlier this year. The singer/songwriter’s music has also been described as “a harmony-laden gem”, with “the languid melodicism reminiscent of the Velvet Underground’s poppier moments” by local press.

In a recent interview with BBC Radio’s Jermaine Foster, Aimée credits her collaboration with producer Jon Withnall for encouraging her stratospheric rise. Fresh off the M&S Bank Arena Stage for Liverpool’s Digital Music Festival, and having performed at flagship festivals like LIMF and Sound City, Aimée shows no signs of slowing down with a slew of new releases on the horizon backed by full PR, radio plugging and live agent support – Aimee Steven is set to make a major impact to the indie rock music scene.
