Becki Luff

Regularly working alongside composers to develop new music for the harp, Becki’s standout experiences include: performing in the Wigmore Hall as part of their Tansy Davies composer series, premiering Amir Konjani’s Anima Projection and joining the Future Blend Project in creating and performing a new works concert for the instrument.  Becki has worked extensively with the composer Paul Patterson, giving the European premiere of his piece Scorpions for two harps, and showcasing his harp solo Lizards’as part of the 13th World Harp Congress in Hong Kong. In November 2019 she joined  EUYWO with conductor Yan Cober to perform Stravinsky’s Petrushka, as well as two new works by Enrique de Tena and James M. Stephenson.

Currently, Becki is performing regularly with harpist Lucy Nolan as part of Yehudi Menuhin’s prestigious Live Music Now performance scheme, which seeks to bring music to the most disadvantaged groups in society. The two harpists form the Chroma Harp Duo, and performed the European premiere of Paul Patterson’s harp duet, Scorpions, a piece for which the duo was awarded first prize in the ensemble class at the Camac Harp Competition in London and the UKHA prize for the best performance of a work by a British composer.

Graduating with a Masters from The Royal Northern College of Music in 2018, under the tuition of Eira Lynn Jones, Becki performs regularly as a soloist and orchestral performer, working with conductors such as Yan Cober, Peter Stark, Clark Rendell and Mark Herron.
