Equally at home scoring a cello concerto as she is behind the desk on a live multitrack session or in the wilds with a field recorder, EL found her spiritual calling producing electronic based music in her intimate recording studio in Leeds. Utilising everything from tape loops to analogue hardware, toy keyboards to cutting edge sampling techniques and sound design processors developed by the INA Paris, EL’s output transcends what is expected of a contemporary singer-songwriter/producer.

In drawing in influences as diverse as dubstep, electroacoustic and folk, to categorise Stop as ambient or electronic would do disservice to its pop sensibilities. To label EL as a mere solo singer songwriter would fail to address the complex and immersive layers injected into Stop through sonic experimentation. Stop perfectly bridges the gap between lo-fi and hi-fi, continually drawing you in with hypnotic attention to detail only to rip you back to consciousness with familiar and soothing harmony, bringing a dance floor ready rhythmical groove and thunderous sub bass to the mix.

As fiercely independent as she is passionate in her collaborative work with other artists, she fills the rest of her time running Look Mum! Records and as part of the song writing/production house Third (EMI, KPM).
