Heart Shaped

Heart Shaped is the power-pop project of Belfast-based songwriter Kendall Bousquet. Originally from Houston, Texas, Bousquet crafts songs that blend fuzzed-out guitars with lovelorn lyrics. In 2020, she generated buzz in the Irish DIY scene with first singles “Handsome” and “Somebody’s Somebody”. Heart Shaped’s debut EP “Second Hand” will be released December 4th, 2020 digitally and on cassette via Poison Moon Records. Produced by Shannon O’Neill of Sister Ghost and recorded in kitchens, bedrooms, and attics in Belfast and Feeny, Co. Derry, the EP’s five songs perfectly balance saccharine indie-pop melodies with the moxie of Bousquet’s DIY punk ethos. “Sometimes”, the newest single from Second Hand, premiered on The Thin Air, who described it as “infectious as hell…brimming with the airy, bittersweet pathos of Teenage Fanclub and Alvvays”.
