Porshia Jeidi

You might want to keep your eye on Amsterdam native singer/songwriter Porshia Jeidi.

In her music, she creates inviting vibes with her sultry voice while she also embodies different hip hop sound influences. She is also inspired by her Ghanaian roots and proud of the culture, hence you will come across Afrobeat fusions in future releases.

She started dancing at the age of 9 as she knew she wanted to be on stage. This further developed into writing songs in her bedroom but she felt insecure sharing them with others. It wasn’t till she relocated to London after graduating from the University of Amsterdam, that she decided to not let her anxiety stop what she’s passionate about.

She wrote ‘Bonfire’ while at work, fantasizing about leaving the 9 to 5 behind. Currently, she’s working on her future releases without the help of a team. It’s not an easy road but makes her excited about what’s to come.
