If Adele and Amy Winehouse had a secret love child you’d be staring right at her. Alison May is a singer/songwriter currently based in London. Hailing from a small city in the heart of Cyprus. Proud of her Cypriot Heritage Alison is also proud to call herself half Irish. Being brought up in her parents Irish pub she has been surrounded by music all her life. Her velvety smooth voice will keep you wanting more while her catchy hooks will make you want to stay. Alison is paving her way in the London music scene, experimenting and exploring the new wave of Jazz and soul.

Debute Release:

Alison May makes her debut with new single ‘American Boy’. Written in her West-London bedroom and recorded in a DIY studio set up in a friend’s warehouse.The song is all about an encounter with… you guessed it, an American Boy! It all started at a New Year’s Eve party in 2018, where Alison was working a shift at her parents’ Irish bar. They shared a new year’s kiss, and after three months of getting to know each other, he left the country without a word. Years later, the encounter still sits at the back of her mind as a magical experience, and who knows… maybe this single will reach the American Boy, someday.

Some career highlights is playing The Ned London and having released my first ever single in 2021. This year I’m looking forward to releasing some of my proudest work.
