Chloe Castro

Following a childhood spent living between France, Brazil and Wales, Chloe Castro relocated to the North East of England where she began writing songs aged 11, inspired by the music of Amy Winehouse and Nina Simone.

In 2016 half Brazillian/half British Chloe battled it out on National television and made her way to the quarter finals of The Voice UK. Having been recognized for her hypnotic voice, depth and lyrical prowess after her successful television debut, Chloe dedicated the next few years to honing in on her skills and building her repertoire in a bedroom studio with producer and co-writer Jake Karno.

Her debut single ‘Drunk’ (2019) was selected as track of the week on BBC Newcastle and gained prominent play on BBC Radio 1 from Huw Stephens as well as Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing show on BBC Radio 6.

Self releasing her debut EP (‘AMID’ – October 2020), lead single ‘She’ premiered with Wonderland Magazine and second single ‘Used to Be’ was picked up and featured multiple times by DJ Target on BBC Radio 1XTRA and selected as Track of the Week by BBC Tees Introducing before Chloe was announced as a BBC Introducing Tip for 2021.
