Emma Richardson

Emma Richardson is a British bassist, vocalist and fine artist, best known as the newest member of Pixies and former co-founder of Band of Skulls. With Band of Skulls she released five acclaimed albums of harmony-driven indie-blues rock and toured worldwide, before stepping away in 2022 to focus on her visual art. Richardson returned to music in 2024 when she joined Pixies, bringing her melodic bass style, rich vocal blend and love of classic harmony groups, blues and songwriting craft. Alongside her work with Pixies, she continues to develop her career as a painter, exhibiting expressive large-scale works inspired by movement, instinct and the natural world.
