I create pop songs and other genres as a whole concept, using strong pitching skills, keyboards for reference and later on Cubase. I then identify musicians to play the non-keyboard parts and am currently looking to work with a female only band to perform my album which has 14 quirky and very varied tracks which I have specific marketing ideas for.
I do not use AI to generate any element of my music, since I cannot see the point.
Tracks can be set down quite quickly but then often go through a bit of an evolutionary phase where I change harmonies, melodies, lyrics and even sometimes the point of the track before settling with the finished concept.
Previous albums have been electronic and soul/funk related but my current album is more about what interests me, so isn’t worked to any specific genre. My music circles around current events and themes and quite often involves dialogues between two voices.
Oh, I’m a linguist, with European languages and Arabic. Probably makes my lyrics use of words and take on life a bit unusual.
