Kate Lister

I’m a contemporary jazz, soul and R&B vocalist and songwriter. With my band, The Foo Birds, I have recorded and released 2 EPs, an album, and most recently 6 singles, all of which we have toured extensively across the UK and Europe. I am the main songwriter for the band. Together, we have worked with producer Robin Mullarkey (Jacob Collier, Natalie Williams), Bombay Bicycle Club’s Jonny Murray & Dan Berry, and Harry Fausing-Smith (Tom Misch). From a young age I have performed solo around the UK, in France, Italy, Peru, Sri Lanka & Bali; I have co-written and collaborated with a host of London writers and producers and shared the stage with Norma Winstone and John Helliwell (Supertramp).

I am also a yoga teacher and voice teacher, actively running workshops and retreats internationally. I combine these two practices so as to encourage others to connect to their bodies and voices, exploring singing as a meditative, expressive and creative practice for greater wellbeing.
