Katie Wills

Currently I am a full time, self-employed freelance musician. I am on Fiverr as a session/recording musician undertaking orders requiring me to write and record lyrics, vocals, piano and more for tracks. I also do freelance recording work outwith Fiverr. I tutor vocals and piano as a freelancer and songwriting workshops with The Sound Lab, currently all online. I am also a solo function/wedding performer and am on the Alive Network, ACE Agency, Encore Musicians and Genre Music rosters. I am also in a function band but due to the pandemic, we are unable to perform.

I am a solo artist/singer-songwriter performing and recording/releasing music under the name Ceiti (still pronounced Katie). I have released my debut single in Summer as well as a music video along with it and a charity single in September, a collaboration between myself and other Scottish musicians to raise funds for SAMH and WWF UK. I have also been awarded funding from Young Scot’s Time to Shine Nurturing Talent Fund to record my first EP of which Blue Roses is the title single. I’m also fundraising with GoFundMe to raise funds for an artist development programme I’ve been accepted onto. I’m now a semi-finalist with Andrson’s songwriting competition. I am also in a duo named Artax and have released music back in May as well as working on building up our set. Both projects have had music played on several radio stations and have been on podcasts and more.

My own music contains elements of a variety of different genres/styles including heavy and alternative rock, ambient and atmospheric, pop and soul with elements of electronic and more. With lyrics focusing heavily on mental health and current world issues including the environment, human tragedy, empowerment and more. My duo’s music contains a variety of styles consisting of ambient and atmospheric but powerful vocals, shredding melodic guitar solos, catchy 80s pop revival vibes as well as some heavier elements including metal and even some classic 80s rock.
