Lauren Taylor

I am currently studying for a BA(Hons) in Music Industry Practice, specialising in Drums, at the Academy of Contemporary Music. I am fortunate to be studying under tutors such as Sandy Beales (One Direction, JP Cooper), Neil Bullock (Cliff Richard, Chaka Kahn) and Toby Drummond (Ray Davies, Shaun Ryder).

I have been performing since a young age in a variety of industry settings. Highlights include: the Royal Albert Hall, School’s Prom, 2013. And more professionally with artists such as The Brookes, 2016 – 2018, performing at venues such as: The Monarch Camden, supporting Neon Islands; The Leopard Doncaster, supporting Billy Bibby and the Wry Smiles.

Alongside kit as her main instrument, Lauren also plays acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar and keyboard. Lauren’s DAW of choice is Logic Pro X, with knowledge in Ableton. Lauren completed her Grade 8 Drum Kit with Trinity Guildhall in 2019.

I have worked with several artists recording drums and other instruments, and performing live. One of my highlights includes working with Spanish duo Adora (@adoraofficialmusic), whom I will be working with again in the near future. I have also performed alongside the singer-songwriter RONNIEE (@iam.ronniee) on the 22nd January at The Macbeth, Hoxton, a gig presented by HotVox.

I am currently working on an original band project, preparing to release music in the next few months. We are covering all the ground work before release, currently.

Between July 2019 and July 2021, I managed a band, DB Jones (@dbjonesband). Working by myself, I managed to increase their social media presence significantly, book them several gigs across the country, including London, and secure live radio sessions and interviews. This has helped their career massively from where they started.

One big milestone I am very pleased to say I have done, is record at Abbey Road Studios. I recorded at the studios on the week of the 10th January, and consequently will be doing much more in the future. This will be in collaboration with Wild Sounds. http://www.wild-sounds.com/
