Multi-instrumentalist Louisa Kataria enjoys a versatile career across the classical, jazz, musical theatre, and commercial genres.

Louisa studied at the Royal College of Music as a Leverhulme Arts Scholar, where she learned saxophone with Martin Robertson, clarinet with Janet Hilton, and jazz flute with Andy Panayi. Louisa graduated from her bachelor’s degree in 2023 with First Class Honours.

Louisa has performed with orchestras including the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Musical Theatre Orchestra, Pegasus Opera, Tête-á-Tête Opera, and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain. Also in demand as a woodwind ‘trebler’, Louisa debuted in the West End with the London Musical Theatre Orchestra in 2022 and was the chairholder on White Christmas (The Mill at Sonning) from Nov 2024-Jan2025. Other Musical Theatre credits include Hairspray, Anything Goes, Merrily We Roll Along, Sister Act, and Curtains. Commercial bookings have taken her from Vogue’s Red Carpet to OVO Wembley Arena.

Louisa’s passion project is her multi-instrumental quartet, Versa Winds, who have recently had performances at the Elgar Room (Royal Albert Hall), St James’ Piccadilly, King’s Place London, Kew Gardens, and for Wimbledon International Music Festival. Upcoming engagements include at the Bloomsbury Festival and for DEAL Music and Arts Festival.

A passionate educator, Louisa holds woodwind peripatetic positions at ACS Hillingdon and Orchard House School and has been a tutor for LMTO’s Upbeat programme since 2023. She also works with Opera Holland Park’s Youth Chorus as Supporting Singer.
