Nicoleta had her first public performance at the age of 6, which kickstarted her passion for music. She went on to win multiple prizes in national and international piano competitions, establishing herself as a talented pianist at a young age.
At 18, Nicoleta moved to London to attend Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music, which opened up opportunities for her to study with renowned pianists such as Havilland Wilshire, Deniz Gelenbe, Gabriele Baldocci, and Elena Riu. This move paved the way for her musical career, providing her with a wealth of knowledge and experience that would serve her well in the years to come.
During her time at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, she had the privilege of learning from some notable professors who helped shape her musical development. These included renowned pianist Pascal Roge, who inspired her to take risks in her performances, and Gabrielle Baldocci, who taught her the importance of interpretation. Their influence helped her to refine her skills and develop her unique musical style.
Nicoleta’s early performances at Trinity Laban Conservatoire showcased her musical talent, earning her the admiration of her professors and peers. She received high praise for her performances in the Schumann Festival and the New Lights Festival, where she was referred to as “highly musical”.
Since completing her studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Nicoleta has continued to pursue her musical career, offering both solo and chamber music performances as well as teaching. She has performed in prestigious venues such as the St John Smith Square, and has collaborated with various ensembles and orchestras such as Brighton Youth Orchestra.
Nicoleta’s life purpose is committed to helping others feel understood through music. She seeks to achieve this purpose by inspiring and connecting with her audiences. Her admiration for nature plays a significant role in her performances and teaching, as she believes that nature has a powerful ability to inspire and heal.
Incorporating emotions as well as lived experiences into her musical performances and teaching is also important to Nicoleta. By understanding and expressing emotions through music, she believes that she can create a more meaningful and impactful experience for her students and audiences. This approach offers numerous benefits, including increased emotional awareness, empathy, and connection.
