Rainbow Road

Sally Street writes and produces videogame-inspired electronic music under the artist name Rainbow Road. Her style is best classified as lo-fi, ambient electronica, combining some attention-grabbing, upbeat synth-pop elements with more wistful, nostalgic tones. Her tracks have been played on BBC Introducing in the North East and selected for inclusion in Fresh on the Net’s ‘Eclectic Picks’ playlist. In 2019, her remix of a traditional gamelan recording was shortlisted in a national competition organised by Songlines Magazine, judged by a panel including Cerys Matthews, Gilles Peterson and Hannah Peel, and later played on BBC 6Music. She grew up in South-East London and now lives in Durham, UK.
