Ruth Clark

Ruth Clark (BA (Hons), MSc, PGCAP, FHEA) is the Head of Learning Enhancement at Leeds Conservatoire, where she leads strategic initiatives to support student learning, academic and digital capabilities development, and inclusive pedagogical practice. Her remit includes oversight of the Conservatoire’s Library, Technology Enhanced Learning and Skills for Learning teams, research ethics, and staff development.

Ruth’s current research and professional interests centre on academic literacies, digital practices in creative disciplines, and the student experience in specialist arts education. She has delivered papers on her work at national and international conferences and remains committed to research‑informed practice and sector collaboration.

Alongside her core responsibilities, Ruth is the co‑lead for Leeds Conservatoire’s 60th Anniversary celebrations. She coordinated the extensive historical research for the accompanying exhibition, ‘Music Leeds Us,’ shaping its narrative, archival content, and interpretive materials to mark the institution’s evolution and cultural impact.
