Praised as “one to watch” by Radio 1’s Jack Saunders, Tonia’s slick, soul-stirring single candidly goes through the motions of a friendship breakup – laying bare her anger, confusion and eventual acceptance of the loss of a once-treasured connection.

Tonia unveils her new single, ‘Cut the Cloth, Didn’t I’, a stirringly soulful track about the slow dismantling and gradual unraveling of a once really close and important relationship. The track is produced by London-based friend and collaborator, Sfven, released Wednesday 19 March 2025.

“It’s about coming to terms with the reality that sometimes relationships in your life naturally end and it’s ok to let them go… Realising that you don’t have to lose parts of yourself for someone else, and understanding that you can’t force things, or people, to stay together.” – Tonia

A rising star sprouting from Liverpool’s bustling music scene, Tonia has confirmed live performance slots at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Liverpool Sound City and more in 2025. Tonia has been building editorial support with previous releases including ‘Harmony’, from the likes of Spotify’s ‘New Pop UK’, ‘Our Generation’ and ‘Peach’ playlists, as well as Apple Music’s ‘New Music Daily’ and ‘New in Pop’.
